The Cannabis Health Summit on January 23-24 will bring together some of the world’s top medical marijuana experts; including scientists, physicians and researchers.
Each of the 20+ experts will deliver presentations TED-style, communicating facts and the latest science on topics relating to cannabis and health. Some of the conditions specifically to be discussed include epilepsy, autism, cancer and PTSD.
There will also be information on pain management, cannabis for pets, dosing strategies, consumption methods and the human endocannabinoid system.
Among the experts delivering presentations will be Dr. Bonni Goldstein; a pediatrician who has treated hundreds of children with epilepsy, autism and other conditions using cannabis products such as cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is a non-intoxicating compound present in the cannabis plant.
Another presenter is Bryan Krumm who has been treating PTSD patients with medical cannabis.
Each expert will be given sufficient time to provide in-depth information – 22 minutes per speaker.
Unlike many of these types of events that tend to set up barriers for attendance through they tyranny of distance, excessive cost or low audience capacity; just about anyone anywhere in the world will be able to participate. The 2-day summit will be streamed online and registration is free. It’s the first cannabis event of its type where the entire proceedings will be broadcast virtually.
The Summit is designed to be a tipping point in the way the world generally views marijuana and the organisers hope its message will be received by millions.
Among the issues to be addressed, the Summit seeks to bust myths, break down prejudices, win over undecided or resistant physicians and influence medical cannabis legislation.
“The myriad of misconceptions is to be expected after nearly 80 years of prohibition and propaganda. But these misunderstandings are costing us dearly,” state the event’s coordinators; Green Flower Media.
“The science behind cannabis as a medicine is absolutely game-changing, and we are really looking forward to broadcasting this knowledge to the entire globe.”
