Curaleaf Holdings Inc., an international provider of consumer cannabis products, has expanded its operational footprint in Florida with the opening of two new medical cannabis dispensaries. These additions, located in Jacksonville Beach and Fernandina Beach, increase the company’s total number of dispensaries in Florida to 73, contributing to its nationwide count of 165 locations, according to a report by Cannabis Business Times published on May 8, 2026.
Curaleaf’s Expanding Medical Cannabis Dispensaries in Florida
The recent openings represent Curaleaf’s fourth and fifth new dispensaries in Florida since the beginning of the year. This expansion aligns with the company’s stated strategy to strengthen its presence within the Florida medical cannabis market, aiming to enhance localized product offerings and patient-focused services across the state.
Strategic Location Details
- Curaleaf Jacksonville Beach: Located at 13799 Beach Blvd., this facility is situated along U.S. Route 90, a primary east-west corridor connecting Jacksonville’s core to its coastal communities. The area features a mix of restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments.
- Curaleaf Fernandina Beach: Positioned at 1951 South 8th St., this dispensary is located along Florida State Road 200, providing access to surrounding neighborhoods and nearby coastal destinations, alongside various local retail and dining options.
Product Portfolio and Patient Access
Each new dispensary offers a range of products and brands tailored for medical patients. The selection includes Curaleaf’s Florida-exclusive Reef flower, Grassroots flower, Dark Heart flower, and Anthem pre-rolls. Additionally, the new Select Briq 2 is available, featuring real-time dose visibility.
Boris Jordan, Curaleaf Chairman and CEO, stated that the continued expansion of the company’s Florida retail footprint reflects a long-term strategy to reinforce its position in this key medical cannabis market. He noted that scaling thoughtfully across Florida aims to improve the delivery of localized product offerings and patient-focused services, while maintaining consistent access for the medical community statewide.
Operational Footprint and Market Engagement
Both new locations will operate from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays. To engage the local patient base, Curaleaf scheduled grand opening events. The Jacksonville Beach location hosted a celebration from noon to 8 p.m. on May 8 and 9. The Fernandina Beach dispensary was scheduled to host a similar two-day event from noon to 8 p.m. on May 15 and 16.
These events aim to introduce the new facilities to the local medical patient population and integrate them into the existing Florida medical cannabis landscape.
